The scanner reads every new listing, works out exactly which card and grade it is, and compares the ask with what that card has really sold for.
OPEN THE TERMINALHow a listing becomes a signal
- Identity. Name, number, set, printing, language, year, grader and grade are matched. A Shadowless card never borrows an Unlimited price, and a Japanese printing never borrows an English one.
- Sales. Completed sales are grouped by that exact card, grader and grade. Recent sales count for more, and isolated spikes count for less.
- Estimate. The sales become a HoloScope estimate. Without enough evidence for that exact grade, the card is not presented as a priced deal.
- Score. Deal Score combines the discount with liquidity, confidence, identity quality and market depth.
Why a big discount can score low
A card listed 60% under an estimate built on two old sales is not a 60% deal. It is a guess. Deal Edge measures the discount and Confidence measures the evidence, and you need both. A smaller edge with plenty of recent sales is often the better trade.
